Prime Shave Protect
It’s important to take your time and not rush shaving. Don’t shave first thing in the morning, give your skin time to wake-up so shave after you’ve had breakfast (and of course after you have primed your face). Ideally you should shave in a warm, steamy environment like the shower or a bath.
Remember, lots of lather does not equal a good shave – foam sitting on top your skin does nothing so move on and use King of Shaves low-foam shaving software (shaving gels, oils and serums). Spend some time thoroughly massaging your chosen shave gel, oil or serum into your beard. The steamy environment and the massaging will help to further soften and lift the bristles.
We recommend you use the King of Shaves Azor razor, which is optimised to work with our shaving ‘software’. However, whatever razor you chose to use, ensure the blade(s) are clean and sharp.
Shave using short strokes, in the direction of hair growth – shaving against the grain is the main cause of razor burn and irritation. If you are at all unsure, run your finger across your stubble and feel which direction your hair is growing in. Ensure you rinse the blade regularly.
The Azor’s living hinge flexes allowing you to shave comfortably in every direction whilst King of Shaves low foam gels, oils and serums let you see exactly where you are shaving – perfect for shaping your facial hair and for avoiding problem areas. The advanced formulations help protect and lubricate your skin throughout the shave whilst giving excellent razor glide with no razor rash, burn or irritation.
Try shaving the cheeks first, under the neck area second, and finish off with the nose / moustache area. For an ultra close shave try applying a King of Shaves Shave Gel in tandem over an application of Shave Oil. This will help to shield the skin and virtually eliminate shaving pitfalls such as razor burn and ugly post-shave rashes.
