Just thought I’d say… I’m on your Hyperglide Subscription plan and I’ve been shaving since I was 17 (I’m now 40), I’ve pretty much had a beard my whole life due to sensitive skin and tough stubble!!! But for the first time… ever… I can shave every 3 or 4 days with no cuts… no chaffing (I’m also using AlphaGel Shave Gel Antibacterial) AMAZING!!! Thank you King of Shaves.
I’m still using the original KOS Azor I bought when it first came out (however many years ago that was). I found it to be the best shave I’d ever had then, I still do now. For me, it’s perfection. It doesn’t need to be improved upon. Gillette can slap a new blade in each year from now until eternity, I’ll never change to another blade. The same razor, 65 new blades, and 7 new handles, but still the same razor! Ha ha! I do miss the black gel though. Only ’cause it was black! Thanks KOS.
It’s been two weeks now using your new razor [Hyperglide] and I thought I’d give you my feedback. Well what can I say, having struggled to find a razor that suits my requirements for many a year it seems I have finally found one. I’ve tested it out by using it after a day, two days and after a lazy weekend and it has passed with flying colours each time. It’s smooth, pain free, leaves a good close finish and has not left me with a shaving rash once.
I’ve been using the same blade and it is only now after after a dozen uses it beginning to loose its sharpness and I might have to change it. Compared to other brands I usually go through one a week. You definitely deserve the title King of Shaves and I have recommended you to my friends and my millions (56) of followers on Twitter!
Having used a “speed of sound” razor in various versions for the past 20+ years, the recent design change to their 3 bladed cartridges (supposedly with improved blades) left me with really bad razor burn after the first 2 or 3 shaves with the new improved blades. So being a bloke at heart I turned to the internet to research an alternative. What’s a guy to do after more than a 20 year relationship with one brand? I discovered there’s a lot of trash out there in internet-land about shaving and razors – but there are a few good sites – and the recent Wired 4-way test seemed to hit the mark. Across most of the reviews and test articles the new King of Shaves Hyperglide razor seemed to be topping the polls for best wet shave razor – even though it was only launched at the beginning of the year.
Could it really be that good – especially with the classic Merkur Futur still ranking well in reviews and tests?
With a slight air of scepticism I ventured off to Boots and perused the array of men’s shaving products. Staring me in the now slightly stubbled face was the King of Shaves Hyperglide – all very glossy in it’s simple packaging and with it’s slightly quirky catapult style designed head. To persuade me further it was on offer so I parted with my £4.99 (£5 cheaper than normal) and returned home, apprehensive about tomorrow morning’s ablutions.
Now, clean shaven and sitting at my desk, with no razor rash, I’m a fan. You may think it a bit sad that at 55 I’ve become a brand fan of a razor, but Will King and his team have done for the humble razor what Dyson did for the vacuum cleaner. It really has given me the best shave ever. Admittedly it takes a little getting used to, but the result is a very close shave without having to scrape your skin to pieces, all aided by the outstanding (and long lasting) lube strip.
I’m going back to the shops later to stock up on some spare cartridges and another Hyperglide razor for my travel bag. Who knows, I may even go the whole hog and get a year’s supply direct from the King of Shaves website.
Just felt I had to write to you about your AlphaGel with Aloe and Tea Tree Oil. I needed a gel to take to the USA for a holiday and wanted something easy to transport, this is the first time I have used your product but I am hooked. The gel I used was great, the aloe and tea tree was excellent, it was really cool on the face and the scent was also very pleasant. A great product.
